Volume 2: More Email Marketing Tips

More Creative Ways to Build Your Email List

Email marketing is an easy, affordable way to reach new customers and stay in touch with current clients. In Volume 1, we discussed ways you can expand your email marketing efforts.

As clients change jobs or move, their email addresses may change and/or be unsubscribed from your email list. So, today in Volume 2, we have more creative ways to continually build your email list:

1. Add a "Join My Mailing List" Button to Your Emails: You will have people see your HVAC marketing emails who are not yet on your list. Some customers may share your email if they have a friend or family member who is in the market for a new HVAC system or in need of a good service technician. Add a "Join My Mailing List" button to your emails. Make it part of your email signature and link it directly to the opt-in form on your website. That way, if current customers share your email, you have a way of capturing those new customer contacts.

2. Utilize Networking and Business Affiliations: If you are a member of the Chamber of Commerce or another local business group, ask for permission to send an introductory email to members about your products and services. Include a link to your website so they can sign-up for your emails, HVAC news and special offers.

3.  Leverage Your Social Media:  Add a "Call-to-Action" or "Sign-Up" button to your business Facebook®1 page and link to the email opt-in form on your website so Facebook visitors can sign-up for your mailing list. Click here for more details on adding a button to your business Facebook page.

4.  Ask for Referrals: Don't hesitate to ask current customers to refer new subscribers. Give them an incentive or discount for providing valid email referrals (who are willing to opt-in).

5. Consider Using an Email Service: There are numerous email marketing services out there that can assist you with the tools you need to build your email list quickly. Email services usually charge a monthly fee based on the size of your email list or the number of emails sent. Here are a few worth checking into:
